Walid Wakim is Chief Technology Officer of Systems at Nokia, where he drives technology strategy and defines future system and network architectures. With over 25 years of experience spanning hardware, software, and systems engineering, he is a leader in optical, IP and multi-layer networking for the AI era. Walid works closely with hyperscalers, neo-cloud and AI-infrastructure providers, and global service providers, while contributing to industry standards, open-source initiatives, and global forums such as OFC, ECOC, ITW, and SNW. He holds more than a dozen patents and has published widely in leading journals and venues.
