Join us in Finland and explore Open Future

Headquartered in Espoo and founded on the Tammerkoski rapids in Tampere in 1865, Finland is one of Nokia’s most important locations. While Nokia has operations around the world – 80,000 employees in approx. 130 countries – our culture and operating principles still reflect our Finnish roots.

We are a community of around 6600 employees representing about 80 nationalities. Our three sites in Finland – Espoo, Tampere and Oulu – play a key role in advanced technology development and in creating products and solutions for mobile networks as well as management systems.

Our people help to evolve today’s networks, developing new products and conducting research into fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and autonomous transport.

We work closely with universities, research institutes and other companies in Finland – building best-of-class technology to deliver collaborative advantage and enable impact at scale.

Finland hosts Nokia Technologies which focuses on our licensing business, covering patents, brand and technology. In addition, Finland is a key location for Nokia Bell Labs with an unrivalled track record of innovation - 10 Nobel prizes. Nokia Finland is the clear leader in Nokia's patent applications globally: 25% of all Nokia's patent applications (first filings) in 2023 originated from Finland.

Espoo

Our global headquarters is in Espoo, part of the Helsinki metropolitan area. The Espoo campus employs approximately 2,850 people, focusing on pioneering the evolution of networking, cloud across mobile networks and cloud service products. It also houses our largest testing laboratory while serving as a hub for Nokia Technologies.
