A receiving system for the 19-GHz COMSTAR beacons 1,2 has been operating since May 25, 1976, at the Bell Laboratories Crawford Hill facility at Holmdel, New Jersey.

The Crawford Hill 7-meter antenna (Fig. 1) was built for propagation measurements with the COMSTAR beacons at 19 and 28.5 GHz, and for radio astronomy at frequencies from 70 to 300 GHz.

We study the use of trellis-coded modulation (TCM) as an inner code in combination with outer block codes that use hard decision decoding.

We study the use of trellis-coded modulation (TCM) as an inner code in combination with outer block codes that use hard decision decoding.

We derive lower bounds on the distance and error exponent of the coding scheme described in the title.

In this paper, we propose a soft-decision-based FEC scheme which is the concatenation of a non-binary LDPC (NB-LDPC) code and hard-decision FEC code having a compatibility with existing OTU-4 frame

Many wireless systems today employ error correcting coding. Adding transmit diversity may further improve the performance.

Using an extended Einstein relation, we discuss the concentration dependence of the surface diffusion coefficient in clustering systems.

X-ray absorption spectra of titanium-diffused LiNbO sub 3 indicate that a strong change in the Ti center appears as the concentration is increased above 5x10 sup 20 cm sup -3, involving a tendency

A theory is presented to describe the observables in fluorescence depolarization experiments when both rotational depolarization and concentration depolarization mechanisms are active.
