Osprey 8 radios use the same Nokia ReefShark System-on-Chip (SoC) technology as Osprey Massive MIMO radios. This ensures consistent high-performance and efficient 5G radio deployments, everywhere.
Osprey 8 TDD remote radio heads support beamforming and deliver an RF power output of up to 320 Watts. These capabilities, combined with low-weight, a compact form-factor and multiple mounting options these high-performance radios offer deployment flexibility across the full range of use cases.
These radios also support high RF bandwidth, simplifying the use of fragmented spectrum or enabling new business cases, such as radio access network sharing. Choosing these radios can mean the difference between the deployment of one Osprey radio or multiple ‘other’ radios, which permits leaner sites and lower costs.

Leading in multiband radios
In addition to single-band radios, the AirScale portfolio includes dual- and triple-band radio products. Nokia is a leader in multiband radios, which enable a more compact site solution than using individual radios for each frequency band required. The smaller footprint of multiband radios makes them easier and quicker to deploy, enabling the leanest site solutions and faster time to market. These multiband radios are ideal for deployment in conjunction with our modular Interleaved Passive Active Antenna (IPAA+) radio solution.
Integrated Passive InterModulation (PIM) cancellation
AirScale radios integrate the very latest design innovations and technologies such as integrated Passive Inter-Modulation (PIM) cancellation. This enables consistently high performance without the need for additional hardware. This feature is included both in our single-band and in our multiband radios.
With compact and easy to deploy form factors, AirScale radios provide for all site requirements and have a wide variety of mounting options, including Nokia’s unique ‘One-clip’ rail mount system. The easy-to-use One-clip system helps speed up deployments, ensuring that the site is “on-air” as soon as possible. It also makes any subsequent changes to the site easy.
