5G RAN Professional Certification
The Nokia 5G RAN Professional Certification is where 5G Mobile Access engineers start their certification journey. It is designed for both the experienced radio engineer with a 4G background, and for those new to radio access networks. It provides the basic 5G New Radio knowledge and 5G Mobile Access product skills required to successfully complete common field, operational & radio design tasks.
It provides students with a solid foundation from which to build the 5G RAN certification journey in preparation for the Expert and Specialist certifications.
Upon completion of the Nokia 5G RAN Network Professional Field & Network Operations personnel will be able to understand & apply the basic fundamentals of 5G as a technology to a typical operations environment. They will be able to identify the Nokia 5G RAN products & solutions available, and their architecture. They will also have an understanding of the available operations & maintenance tools, and their use.
Students who successfully pass this certification will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of 5G fundamentals, their basic use cases and apply the basic rules for network dimensioning & planning while also demonstrating an understanding of radio network optimisation fundamentals such as within a 5G network. 5G architecture, interfaces, logical & physical entities will be understood, and the student will be able to apply this knowledge to their role.
Exam requirements & recommended courses are shown in the tables below. Candidates are not required to take the recommended courses in order to achieve either of the professional certifications, however passing the mandatory exam(s) is required.
- NRN-511 Nokia 5G RAN Network Professional Exam
- NRN-512 Nokia 5G RAN Design Professional Exam.
