SDN programmability
To take full advantage of the programming possibilities of SDN requires a model-driven approach and standardized APIs that anyone can use. Our interface stack provides complete control over L1 and L2 configurations and unambiguous interpretation of data plane and control plane behavior. This ensures uniformity and compatibility for network controller applications.
Fast telemetry
With streaming telemetry, Lightspan collects and processes 20x more data than legacy systems and allows adaptive sampling frequencies up to 5 second intervals. This enables extremely accurate, near real-time, closed-loop automation and predictive analysis to find, fix, optimize and prevent issues, as well as deliver new network insights for monetization.
Modular software
With modular software, changes to one module have minimal impact on others. This enables far greater agility in testing and deploying new features and services. Delta software delivery reduces the validation scope, multi-versioning accelerates introductions, and in-service software upgrades minimize downtime.
CI/CD pipeline
Nokia’s CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous deployment) solution for Lightspan delivers software to market much, much faster.
