We care, we make a difference
'We care, we make a difference' challenge
This campaign aims to showcase Nokia's culture of safety and duty to care. We invited everyone working for and on behalf of Nokia to share real-life, work-related stories that illustrate behaviors - like Duty to Intervene, Refusal to Work, and Psychological Safety - which contribute to a safer and healthier workplace environment.
Our first story is about one of the simplest ways to show safety leadership and intervene when something is not right.
In this real-life story, Alex Beart (Head of Safety and Physical Security, MEA) took action and asked his driver to use a seatbelt so that all the occupants of the vehicle had a safe journey. Although seatbelts don't prevent incidents, in the case of an accident they will prevent serious injuries.
No matter your job or seniority, we can all show that when “We care, we make a difference”.
Hear from a team in the Melbourne area of Australia about the importance of creating a work culture where everyone feels safe to speak up and exercise the right of “Refusal to Work”.
This story features Mark Clannachan (H&S State Manager), Bradley Lees (Field State Manager) and Aaron Meilink (Field Operations Technician) explaining the importance of creating a psychologically safe work environment.
