
Jenni Lukander

Jenni Lukander is President of Nokia Technologies – Nokia’s patent, technology and brand licensing business. An experienced leader of commercial, technical and legal organizations, Jenni is responsible for managing and monetizing Nokia’s industry-leading patent portfolio of over 20,000 patent families, generating an annual revenue of €1.5 billion (2019), and advises the other Nokia business groups on their IP strategy.
Jenni’s priorities are driving innovation through investment in 5G and multimedia R&D and standardization; renewing smartphone licensing agreements with device manufacturers; continuing Nokia’s diversification into new licensing domains such as automotive, consumer electronics and the Internet of Things; and developing new brand licensing opportunities.
Jenni joined Nokia in 2007. Prior to moving to a business role, she held a number of senior legal and executive positions, including leading litigation, competition law, data privacy and trade compliance. Jenni was a member of the core legal team that enabled Nokia’s transformation to a world-leading networks provider in 2013–2016. She played a central role in the projects that led to the acquisition of full ownership of Nokia Siemens Networks from Siemens, the divestment of Nokia’s mobile phones business to Microsoft, the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent, and the divestment of Nokia’s HERE mapping business.
Before joining Nokia, Jenni was a senior associate at Roschier, a leading law firm in Helsinki, Finland, where she specialized in competition law. She holds a law master’s (LL.M) from the University of Helsinki and speaks Finnish, Swedish, English and German.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, skiing, running and hiking.
