Conducting our business with integrity
Trustworthiness and integrity are the cornerstones of our business. We ensure our commitment to these are clear in our Code of Conduct (CoC) that is provided and communicated to all employees in order for them to understand what they must do and how they should act when representing the company. It provides the same framework to our business partners and suppliers. It covers our approach to ethics, compliance and anti-corruption and how we aim to ensure responsible sourcing, respect for human rights, data privacy and security.

This has been undoubtedly an extraordinary year; it’s a year where we’ve had to deal with a global pandemic that has caused seismic shifts in how we live our lives and also raised practical questions on how to honor and uphold basic human rights. Highlights in 2019
Human Rights assessment
In 2019 we successfully completed our first Human Rights assessment conducted by an independent external assessor as part of our membership of the Global Network Initiative.
High integrity is part of our DNA and we believe embedded in our Finnish roots. Every employee is held accountable and responsible for upholding our ethical values. All employees are encouraged to complete our Ethical Business Training and in 2019 we saw 96.7% of our employee population complete it. All employees are asked to acknowledge the Code as part of the training module.
Our Code of Conduct is applicable to all our employees, directors and management, and is available in 23 languages here.
Our employees follow these five basic principles:
- Obey laws and follow policies
- Be fair and honest
- Treat each other with respect
- Declare conflicts of interest and avoid appearance of impropriety
- Report any concerns promptly
Ethical business. Our Code of Conduct remains the cornerstone of our key principles and practices of our ethical business approach. It is applied to all employees, management and business partners.
Human Rights. We endorsed the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in 2011. On balance, we believe that connectivity and the technologies we provide are a social good.
Responsible sourcing. Our business and good reputation also depend on how well we manage and monitor our supply chain. Our supply chain is many tiers deep and we work hard to ensure responsibility and transparency in our supply chain and with suppliers.
Data privacy and security. How we protect the data of our customers, employees and other sensitive data is critical to our business and reputation. With the growth in the deployment of new technologies towards a world where everything and everyone are connected and interconnected, data privacy and security issues are also on the increase.
