Virtual routing and switching
Transform any data center with state-of-the-art data plane automation
The virtual routing and switching (VRS) is a software element designed to transform Telco Clouds equipping them with the next generation of SDN and advanced network automation. With VRS, Telco can prepare for the upcoming growth of business applications and stringent performance demands by deploying the state of the art in programmable data plane automation supporting any mixed environment including multi-hypervisor, container and bare-metal servers.
VRS represents the virtual endpoint (i.e. VXLAN Tunnel Endpoint (VTEP)) used to create virtual connections between VMs and containers. It creates these tunnels by further encapsulating the original Ethernet frame from designated traffic allowing a direct overlay tunnels between VMs or containers. Through the VRS, changes in the compute environment are immediately detected, triggering instantaneous policy-based responses in network connectivity to ensure application performance.
