Energy Efficiency v.s. Design Cost Trade-Offs in Distributed Task Assignment Problems

In this paper we consider design and analysis of a task assignment problem in distributed systems from a novel set-theoretic perspective and study some of the fundamental limits which arise in both design and energy efficiency aspects.
