Energy loss rate of a positron in a metal.

We report a calculation of the energy loss rate, for moderate energy (0 E 200 eV) positron (e sup +) in free electron (e sup -) like metals. The effective e sup + - e sup - interaction is approximated by a static t matrix which is solved numerically. Curves showing the mean free path of an e sup + in these free electron like metals are presented.
