Error-free operation of large scale (16 nodes cascaded over total distance of 600km) optical network based on dense WDM (15 100 GHz-spaced 10Gbit/s/channel) channels

Error-free operation of a 100GHz-spaced large scale (16 nodes cascaded over a total distance of 600km) optical network system comprising 15 10Gbit/s/channel channels has been reported. The add/drop nodes are composed of a wavelength interleaving filter and related multiplexer/demultiplexer.
