Evaluating Indoor Propagation in Modern Office Building using V- and E-band Radio Systems

The indoor evaluations in a modern office building using V-band and E-band systems are reported. The scenarios include different degree of signal blockage from light obstruction to non-line-of-sight (LOS). Completed measurements support the use of high capacity millimeter wave in fixed indoor communications. Light obstruction by human beings or absorbing object do not cause outage if some reasonable link margin is reserved for fading, and even non-LOS connections are possible at mm-waves.
