Today AT&T provides and maintains a large integrated network for the Department of Defense -- The Defense Commercial Telecommunications Network. This network provides voice, data and video teleconferencing services, and currently consists of fifteen switch nodes, nine of which are colocated with satellite earth stations. The initial network included approximately 2200 intermachine trunks, 6200 access lines and 1700 trunks connecting DCTN to the AUTOVON Network.
