Experimental Analysis of Single Carrier POLQAM (6Pol-QPSK) Transmission with Soft-Decoding

At 28Gbaud soft-coded POLQAM exhibits measured coding gain improvements of 1.5dB and 3.1dB for 12.5% and 30% code overhead, respectively, when moving from hard decision to soft decision FEC with LDPC code and iterative demapping.
