Experimental demonstration of a 180nm wavelength conversion based on a potentially noise-free Bragg scattering process

Wide and tunable optical wavelength conversion by Bragg Scattering is demonstrated experimentally. This process has the potential to translate states of light without the noise pollution associated with parametric amplification and stimulated Raman scattering.
