Experimental demonstration of SOAs optical bandwidth widening based on selective filtering

We present experimental results showing the ability of using a spectrally selective reflectivity to widen SOAs optical bandwidth. Results show a sufficient widening over 160 nm extending the amplification from 5 to 8 CWDM channels.
