Experimental Investigation of Long-Haul Transport at 42.7Gb/s Through Concatenated Optical Add/Drop Nodes
01 January 2004
A recirculating loop is used to study the transport of a single channel over a long haul network with optical add/drop multiplexers (OADMs). The performance of different on-off-keyed formats, NRZ, RZ and CSRZ as well as DPSK formats (33% and 67% return-to-zero) is investigated at varying OADM node spacing.
