Experimental Results for Multimode Interference During Dispersive Fading
01 January 1989
Multimoding is n impairment caused by mode conversions and multiple reflections in the horn antenna and the circular waveguide system. It is shown in this paper, based on fading data from the Gainesville experiment, that the effect of multimoding is an that of an echo with a long delay that can not be equalized. The multimode energy thus becomes a form of interference.
