Experimental Study of Single Carrier 400 Gb/s and Few Carrier 1 Tb/s Options based on 88GSamples/s DAC

We implemented a transmitter with variable symbolrate (up to 64Gbd) and constellation (up to 64QAM) und study experimentally the linear and nonlinear performance and the maximum transmission reach of various single carrier 400 Gb/s options and various few carrier 1 Tb/s options on realistic deployed scenarios with 80km EDFA repeated SMF spans.
