Experimental Transmission of 4-D Set-Partitioned 16QAM Formats at 28-Gbaud with Nyquist Pulse Shaping

We report the experimental transmission of a 4-D format based on the set-partitioning of two 16QAM 2-D constellations. Using Nyquist-pulse-shaping, 32SP-16QAM and 128SP-16QAM signals are transmitted over long-haul distance and compared with PDM-8QAM and PDM-16QAM.
