Experimental Validity Domain of the Additive Gaussian Noise Model in Nonlinear Dispersion-Unmanaged Systems

Over dispersion unmanaged links, we show that the accuracy of the model which assumes additive Gaussian noise induced by Kerr nonlinearity for predicting performance depart from measurements by more than 0.2dB when the optical power at fiber input is exceeds 2dBm.
