Extending the ISDN Horizon

In the early 1970's there was a vision to guide the evolution of the telecommunication network to an Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN). Today, more than ten years later, the vision is becoming a reality. In the United States, ISDN trials with real end users have begun this year. The challenge today is to set new goals, a new vision for telecommunications networks in the 1990's.
