Facsimile - A Brief Review of its Capabilities and Applications

This talk presents the speaker's systems engineering work in the early 1980s to support AT&T product management. The purpose of this talk is to show graduate and undergraduate students, as part of the 453/592 Systems Engineering Presentations Program, one type of systems engineering work in AT&T Bell Laboratories.
In this talk, analog and digital facsimile technologies, their commercial applications, terminal and network configurations, and potential technical challenges are briefly described in non-technical terms.
