Feasibility demonstration of a 40Tbit/s optical optical fabric for a new generation of 160 Tbit/s packet switch/routers

This paper demonstrates a feasibility for a 40Tbit/s capacity optical switching fabric in one single plane based on a broadcast-and-select architecture. This architecture is a potential candidate for the next generation of multi-Terabit-class packet switch/routers.
