Feed-forward neural network for analog impairment mitigation in high power RF transceiver systems
05 December 2011
Mobile communication systems are getting more and more complex. Constantly rising capacity of the systems as well as the general demand to reduce the power consumption to get the systems greener are a big challenge for especially for the transceiver and radio systems. The more complex modulated signals of mobile communication standards like LTE have high demands on the radio system regarding the signal requirements. The numerous variety of different standards in different frequency bands have further demands on the radio system and its architecture. Flexible radios, suitable for different standards, signals and frequency with highest efficiency and dynamic are required. This paper shows possibilities to enhance the flexibility of radio systems and how to enable it for future standards and requirements.
