Ferromagnetism in sup 3 He Adsorbed on Silver

We report heat capacity measurements for sup 3 He adsorbed on silver powder for temperatures between 0.5 and 7 mK. The results at various fixed temperatures when plotted as a function of coverage exhibit evidence for layer by layer completion. In agreement with recent magnetization experiments[1] we also observe a peak in the exchange contribution to the heat capacity near a coverage of 2- 1/2 layers.
