Fiber in the Loop (For Division 541 SETP Program)

This talk is a short one (10-15 min) on fiber in the loop. It will focus on the definition of the loop, the configuration of the loop plant in the US today, and the evolution of the loop plant to being all fiber. 

Part of the evolution toward having fiber to the home is achieved with the use of digital loop carriers. The talk will briefly describe the role of SLC in the loop.
