This deliverable is a final report on energy efficiency improvements enabled by base stations radio technologies. Innovations on hardware components lead to a reduction of power consumed in base stations. This benefit is increased by combining them with new interface techniques for maximizing the energy efficiency. Radio transmission techniques are analysed regarding their impact on power consumption for assuring their use in an energy efficient way. Concepts, solutions and expected results are analysed in terms of energy efficiency potential and adaptability to dynamic systems for macro- and small-cells. Moreover, each solution is analyzed for specific deployment scenarios, operating conditions, optimization time scale, and traffic load. Thereby, the energy efficiency potential of these technologies enables the evaluation of the "Integrated Solutions" which provide the global results of the project.
