Flexible Optical Transmission close to the Shannon Limit by Probabilistically Shaped QAM

We are reviewing the application of probabilistic shaping in long haul optical transmission system and investigate the linear, nonlinear and implementation limits for this format in comparison to pragmatic QAM formats.
