From Theory to Practice

In the past decade hundreds of little languages have been developed to make interaction with computers easier and more efficient. We shall give several examples of how such languages are being used in dicument preparation, information processing, and software development. Some of the advances in compiler technology that have facilitated the creation of compilers for these languages will also be discussed.
