As a result of deregulation and technological advances, changes in the telecommunications industry continue at a fast and furious pace. Aside from overall improvement in service, much of this change has been transparent to the general public. Nevertheless new enhanced services, made possible by new telephone equipment, have slowly been creeping into our lives.
