Geminate, nongeminate and exciton recombination in a-Si:H.
01 January 1985
This paper examines the current models of carrier recombination in a-Si:H in the context of recent cw and time-resolved photoluminescence experiments. Exciton recombination is found to provide the most consistent description of the submicrosecond dynamics, with distant-pair nongeminate processes contributing at later times. The most commonly cited geminate-pair model is found to be least able to account for the experimental observations.
