Ground to Satellite and Inter Satellite Doppler Frequency Shift in Circular Orbits Satellites Constellations

We compute the magnitude and the time dependant Doppler frequency shift for circular orbit satellites and derive their worst-case values. Formulas are applied to the Telesat and the Starlink constellations to set limits for the dynamic tunability of lasers in future coherent free-space optical terminals.
