Growth of Single Crystals of High Temperature Superconductors.

This is an invited article for the American Association of Crystal Growth Newsletter and is intended to provide an overview of the field of high temperature superconductivity with special emphasis on recent progress in crystal growth. The importance of bulk crystals to both scientific and technological progress including determinations of the fundamentals properties and explaining and exploiting the electronic properties of these new superconductors will be discussed.
