Heterostructure FETs (HFETs): A Review of Structures, Properties, and Modeling

The principles and technology of Heterostructure FETs (HFETs) are reviewed in this talk. An overview of the many structures (and names) which encompass the description Heterostructure FETs will be given to acquaint the audience with the basic operation and structure of the device. The published models of this device are reviewed resulting in guidelines for assessing the performance of the HFETs.
