Heuristic Evaluations at Bell Labs: Analyses of Evaluator Overlap and Group Session
01 January 2007
Heuristic Evaluation (HE) is one of the many tools used in our company to improve the usability of our user interfaces. Over the years we conducted many heuristic evaluations as part of formal usability reviews or informal sanity checks during design. A couple of years ago we took a closer look at our heuristic evaluations to streamline the process and maximize effectiveness. This paper describes the methods, process improvements, and our conclusions about the efficacy of our process.
