J E N S E N I N this paper, a simplified mathematical treatment of the theory of high frequency amplifiers is presented, and the theory is verified by experiment. This method of mathematical analysis provides a ready means of predicting the performance and action of an amplifier from a knowledge of the fundamental constants of its circuit and places the design of high frequency amplifiers on a precise and rational basis. The paper also includes a description of various methods for quantitatively determining the a m o u n t of amplification at high frequencies.
