High Performance Crosspoint Switch Implemented in CMOS on AVP.

This memoranda describes a 256 input by 256 output asynchronous, strictly non-blocking, space division crosspoint switch which is being fabricated in 1micron CMOS VLSI ICs mounted on an AVP substrate. This switch is the first example of a substantial circuit designed specifically for an AVP substrate. It is intended to be an experimental vehicle which will demonstrate the advantages of the combination of AVP and CMOS.It also has been used to identify design issues which only come to light during the design of real circuit in a new technology.
