High Performance NFDM Transmission with b-modulation

In this paper, we demonstrate that the performance of nonlinear frequency division multiplexed (NFDM) systems em-ploying the continuous nonlinear spectrum is significantly enhanced by modulating only the b-coefficient. Experiment has confirmed that 100Gb/s b-modulated transmission provides a performance gain up to 1.5 dB over the conventional OFDM transmission system
