High-Rate Carrier-Aggregated-Space-Frequency-Coding For Broadband Wireless Communications
23 May 2011
For the scenario of either multiple (distributed) transmit antennas from a single basestation or multiple (distributed) basestations, each of which is only with a single transmit antenna, we propose high-rate carrier-aggregated-space-frequency coding for multiple component carrier bands based distributed antenna transmission over frequency selective fading channels. We have proven that our CASFC proposal achieves full available diversity in the channels, although our designs enable lower decoding than conventional frequency hopping based designs. Numerical results demonstrate the proposed CASFC design significantly outperforms the SFC design of full spatial-frequency diversity.
