High spectral-efficiency mixed 10G/40G/100G transmission

We review current technologies that enable mixed 10 G/40 G transmission in a single DWDM system to achieve capacity upgrade, and discuss promising technologies and challenges for transmitting 100-Gb/s channels in the same system for further upgrade.
