High Speed GaAs IC Electronics for a 1.7 Gbit/sec Lightwave Transmission System
23 May 1988
Several GaAs integrated circuits are currently in volume production by AT&T-Microelectronics for insertion into the AT&T 1.7 Gbit/s long haul lightwave transmission network. These "microwave" ICs provide key signal processing functions in each regenerator and terminal. This talk will describe these circuit functions and address some of the central issues involved in design, testing, and packaging.
