High speed OFDM data transmission over 5 km GI-multimode fiber using spatial multiplexing with 2×4 MIMO processing

We demonstrated experimentally the transmission of 8 Gbit/s data using the OFDM format over 5 km graded-index multi-mode fiber combining modal diversity, coherent transmission and direct detection with 2 × 4 MIMO signal processing.
