New low dispersion IUE spectra of a faint sdOB star (the "Schweizer- Middleditch" star) located in a direction near the center of the SN 1006 remnant are presented. Analysis of UV spectra of this star covering the wavelength region 1200 - 3000angstroms, which included a re-analysis of earlier IUE spectra (Wu et al. 1983) and comparisons with low dispersion IUE spectra of other sdO and sdOB stars, clearly indicate the presence of several strong and definitely non-stellar absorption lines in this star's UV spectrum. We attribute, as did Wu et al. , broad absorption features at 2370angstroms and 2600angstroms as resonance Fe II lines at 2343, 2382, and 2599angstroms and estimate a Fe II mass within the remnant of ~ 0.01 M. with a radial velocity dispersion of +-5000 km s sup(-1).
