High Voltage Linear/Digital Array Design Considerations

User customized digital `gate arrays` have a broad market acceptance. In recent years there has been a trend (1) toward the introduction of user customized arrays for linear integrated circuits. Recently AT&T has introduced the ALA501 high voltage integrated circuit which is user customized at the metal and contact window levels. This array contains both linear and digital circuit elements. In this paper we will describe some of the factors that affected the design of the ALA501 high voltage linear/digital array.
