Highly Reflective Fiber Bragg Gratings Written Through a Vinyl Ether Fiber-Coating
01 July 1999
High reflective fiberBragg gratins (Reflectivity >99.99%, -45 dB in transmission) have been written through a 55 micron thick novel polymer fiber coating in a low (5 mole %) germania-doped optical fiber. The coating is based on vinyl ether chemistry using a cationic photoinitiator.
