Hitless 100Gb/s OTN Bandwidth Variable Transmitter for Software-Defined Networks

We show the first hitless 100Gb/s real-time bandwidth variable transmitter integrated with restful server and OTN switching matrix. Adapted to Elastic Optical Network (EON), the transmitter can offer Bandwidth on Demand without service interruption and packet loss. For any bitrate combination between 10Gb/s and 100Gb/s, the transmitter reconfigures in less than 450µs without any additional penalty.
