Hitless Transmission baud rate Switching in a Real-Time Transponder assisted by an Auto-Negotiation Protocol

In the scope of Elastic Optical Network (EON), we propose a novel receiver Digital Signal Processing (DSP) architecture that allows an instantaneous and seamless variable baud rate transmission. This solution is demonstrated in a real-time experiment. We also show how the baud rate variation can leverage an in-line auto-negotiation protocol.
